"They" were first kind, and offered her something to help her a bit, get her going, help her study, but then the addiction got out of hand and "they" have took her away from him. Now for the bit nicer one, he's clean, but his girlfriend has the addiction and when she was away doing drugs, or on a rehab, he was lonely. "They" are the people who want to help him and take the drugs away from him, but he doesn't care, he found them anyways and enjoys them. He actually succumbed to his addiction and every moment without it he feels cold and alone. HE is stoned and he shouldn't talk about how great it is. Now I propose two possible interpretations: First the dark one The author metaphorically sings about the stuff he craves. Song MeaningAll of this can very well be about drug addiction. That is just my interpretation but it is exactly what I went through with my ex and he felt the same way. (Can't find his way out of the depression without her) (Suspense is killing him hoping she will come back because their relationship has been back and forth but they always got back together. (the "honeymoon" is over, they are back to reality and she has drifted away completely because of the confusion and pain family and friends put her through) (It's so amazing they just feel completely lost and stoned in the paradise they are in when it is just them) (they don't talk about all the troubles they are having) (They get away or remember back to a time where it was just them, no outside influence from anybody else and they danced like they had never danced before and were just completely and entirely happy being just the two of them) (They have spent more and more time apart because of her friends and family pulling her away)
(He knows she is a strong individual and her love for him is strong so he is hoping her heart is tough enough to withstand the criticism) (Family or friends have become unforgiving at things he has done or put her through and she is drifting because of the turmoil they put her under bc of being with him) (they have been drifting apart and he wants her back by his side bc the loneliness is terrible.) General CommentI may be biased since this situation happened to me, but it seems as if it's about a love that has drifted apart. Stoned in paradise, shouldn't talk about it
“When I’m seeing my miss of roses.” I thought was a great lyric it made me think about what the song actually meant to me.But now they've brought you away from here Ego’s chorus made me feel slightly emotional and each verse was interesting and told a story about a woman. I’m very surprised at Milky Chance as the other songs I love such as Flashed Junk Mind are not as fast moving, sometimes the voices that have a slight husk to them can slow down the song even more. I was surprised how I was able to dance to this song, it just made me want to move around and the underlying beat really got my heart pumping. The lyrics “Ego, see your ego” started immediately, with an exciting guitar that sounded very complimentary. It didn’t take me long to get in to this song with the guitar intro drawing me in straight away. The song is really upbeat and although you can hear the iconic voice of Clemens, it is different to the previous slower moving songs they’ve both created. This folk, reggae and electronic inspired pop duo have a new song out.Įgo is part of their new album Blossom which is to be out on the 17th of March. Most people think Milky Chance is a one man, it’s actually two people from Germany, lead vocalist Clemens Rehbein and guitarist Antonio Greger.
